The results show that using TMCP technology, the X65 pipeline steel plate produced can obtain an acicular ferrite microstructure and strength and toughness equal to that of X70 steel. In X65 steel the content of Nb, Ti and Mo should be reasonable, C content must be less than 0.07%, P and S less than 0.013% and 0.002% respectively. In addition, X65 steel has good weldability.
Application:
Mainly for manufacturing spiral submerged arc welding pipes (SSAW), straight electric resistance welding pipe (ERW), longitudinally-SAW pipes (LSAW) and oil-gas water transmission pipes. It can also be applied to manufacturing pressured fluid transmission pipes for power stations, chemical plants and coal mines. Furthermore, it is used in manufacturing engineering structural pieces.
